Spiritus Chamber Choir Iman Habibi

Spiritus Chamber Choir, led by Timothy Shantz, will be joined by tenor Amir Haghighi in a performance of my choral piece, The Colour of Freedom in Calgary. Originally written for the Vancouver Peace Choir and tenor Amir Haghighi, this piece is set to Farsi poetry by Baba Taher and English poetry by Marina Nemat, and is a raw reaction to the 2009 protests in Iran that saw the death and imprisonment of dozens of Iranian protesters.
