Programme Notes
Warm glittering rays of light, in seething clouds of gas, radiant shimmers, and blinding blaze, an opening in the dark curtain of the sky, bestowing life with a light from beyond, the sun can encapsulate a wide range of states and Solar Seethe portrays its varied faces. Seemingly constant and primal, the sun inspires a rich palette of poetic symbolism. As the unblinking, all-seeing eye of the universe, it has at times been as sacred as a god, and feared for its wrath.
