Busking for Everyone Matching Campaign – Andrew Jahn Performs Habibi’s Prelude á la Gershwin
The “Something for Everyone” Lanark County Food Bank – The Hunger Stop fundraiser is entering an exciting new phase. Local musician Andrew Jahn’s “Busking for Everyone” summer miniseries has partnered with local businesses in Carleton Place to launch a special business matching challenge designed to maximize local food security relief leading up to an August 15, 2026 busking event.
On August 1, simultaneous matching campaigns with Anytime Fitness Carleton Place and the Knights of Columbus Council 9557 brought the community together to raise a staggering $1,000 in a single day. The project is now at 80% and the “Something for Everyone” project is only $2,000 away from the finish line.
To build on that incredible momentum, Reid Gardens is stepping up to match donations until Saturday, August 15. They will match all community donations dollar-for-dollar up to a total of $250. This generous sponsorship means your support goes twice as far, transforming $250 in community giving into $500 of direct funding for neighbors in need.
Every dollar raised allows the Lanark County Food Bank to purchase milk and eggs for local families.
We invite community members to attend the busking performance on Saturday August 15, 1-2:30pm at the Carleton Place Tourism Centre at 170 Bridge Street, and to check out Reid Garden’s garden centre and landscaping depot. Individuals can also donate online.
Anytime Fitness Carleton Place will also be collecting physical food donations until August 29th. Make sure to sign up for free personal training trials and check out the gym.
The program will feature a wide variety of music. Including (but not limited to) piano works by Beethoven, Habibi, Rachmaninoff, Jahn, and pop songs by Josh Groban, Elton John, John Legend, Andrew Jahn, Ed Sheeran and Vanessa Carleton.
